All medical endeavour towards health, can be considered an exorcism of sorts. Healing in geomantic divination and magic is often framed as a removal of disease, of a return to balanced functionality through excising, shedding, evacuating, or otherwise removing a maladaptive or downright pathological influence.

That influence might be environmental, chronic, and/or the result of human malice, neglect, or ignorance (whether our own or that of others) as well as the work of literal spirits. Most often in pre-modern magical healing, dysfunction was framed as a concatenation of such material and spiritual factors. Hauntings erode a persons mental and even physical health, and those made vulnerable by disease can certainly fall prey to opportunistic attaching spirits.

There are many ways to effectuate the voidings that can help establish health and well-being, and this course will focus on those means of eliminating excesses. The three class recordings of this course consider the various tools, resources, and techniques for "cleaning off" such crossed conditions, spiritual detritus, and harmful blockages: from baths and washes: to dietary considerations: to the use of amulets and pentacles to banish harmful virtues and spirits; to using sympathetic materials to pull disruptive or sickening influences and agents from the afflicted patient. This course also offers training in the focused applications of fundamental heating, cooling, drying, and wetting actions of humoural therapeutic remediation to re-balance bodily, mental, and spiritual health.

The three class recordings of this course series break down as follows: 

Session 1: First Aid
In which are discussed foundational principles of framing and interpreting shields cast to aid in works of healing, cleansing, and uncrossing. We consider pre-modern magical understandings of wellbeing as an interrelated harmony of mind, body, soul, and spirit; sympathetic and antipathetic materia and actions for cleansings; early modern amulet therapies; and evaluate best diagnostic practices in our geomantic divination. Interviews with professional geomantic healers are shared for their insights and experience. We approach Amissio and her spirits as Our Lady of Losses to explore the heart-centred mysteries of healing.

Session 2: Medicines
In which are discussed the use of materia of geomantic cleansings, as well as a range of sorcerous applications and workings. We focus closely on sixteen specific preparations that operationalise sympathetic linking material. We analyse  more of the complexities of sympathetic and antipathetic magical actions, and assess how a good geomancer can employ both. We consider matters of disposal: the leaving of offerings, the shaking off of dust, the crossroads from which we do not look back. Sixteen figural operations of cleansing form the crux of this session, offering modalities and methodologies for working with each and every elemental, planetary, and geomantic set of virtues and spirits.

Session 3: Treatments
In which are further considered applications of geomantic cleansings and empowerments. We assess the utilities and wisdoms of the Geomantic Adam, those diagrams which map figural, planetary, and elemental coherences and sympathies of occult virtue to and from the material body. We analyse various tools and techniques of effective spiritual cleansing actions. We evaluate a range of works of Our Lady of Losses; and consider a few experimental operations with the tearful but healing virtues of Amissio.
